Black Bean Brownies-or “Any” Bean Brownies!
A Black Bean Brownies update.
I have now made Black Bean Brownies with numerous kinds of brownie mixes, and numerous kinds of beans and they all turned out very good. So be adventurous and experiment with whatever kind of brownie mix and whatever kind of healthy bean you have in your cabinet.
I have used all kinds of beans:
- black beans,
- white beans,
- navy beans,
- northern beans,
- cannellini beans,
- and more.
I find that you usually have to cook Bean Brownies a little longer than whatever it recommends on the box. Bean Brownies are denser than a regular brownie, but they are all very good and a wonderful way to take care of that craving for chocolate that comes along too often. I have given them to dozens of people to try and they all liked them. Not one person has ever guessed the secret ingredient. In fact, if you don't say anything, people will just think they are regular brownies! You are serving a healthy brownie that tastes good and has fiber and protein to boot!
